Pro Bowl Game-Day
This was from last week as the Cowboys were preparing for the Vikings.

—–
IRVING, Texas — Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre told reporters in Minnesota that it’d be a “shock” if he isn’t preparing for the NFC Championship Game next week.
Dallas Cowboys safety Gerald Sensabaugh responded with similar swagger Thursday, perhaps providing the Vikings with bulletin-board material heading into Sunday’s NFC divisional playoff game at the Metrodome.
“We’d have to beat ourselves to lose,” Sensabaugh said. “The way we’re playing right now, I don’t think we can be beat.”
Sensabaugh is showing the same confidence that Roy E. Williams expressed before the Cowboys’ trip to New Orleans.
Williams’ statement that the Cowboys “should be victorious” if they showed up at the Superdome raised a lot of eyebrows. Then the Cowboys backed it up, and they’ve had a certain strut since.
Minnesota dominated every phase of the game, offense, defense, and special teams in eliminating the Cowboys from the NFC playoffs, whipping Dallas, 34-3.
Vikings 34 Cowboys 3
The win sends Brett Favre and the Vikings into the NFC Championship Game against the Saints at the Superdome in New Orleans.

I don’t know if my roll will continue or not, but as well as the Cowboys have been playing, there’s a reason you play all season for home field advantage.
On Saturday, both home teams won—perhaps that changes on Sunday, but I’ll almost always take the home team.
Vikings 23, Cowboys 20
Here’s the link to everything you’ll need to know about Cowboys-Vikings, Vikings 23 Cowboys 20

After an amazing 13-year drought, the Cowboys are back in the win column during the post-season, dominating the Eagles, 34-14 on Saturday night at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.
The victory completed a three-game sweep of the NFC East rival Eagles and sent the Cowboys into the second-round of the playoffs against the Vikings at noon next Sunday.
Cowboys 34 Eagles 14
This was the first post-season victory for many of the Cowboys players, including their head coach Wade Phillips.
This was the Cowboys first post-season win since beating Minnesota back in December, 1996.

I’ve been on a nice little roll with my predictions of late.
Of course, this after a pretty miserable mid-season predictions slump.
Yes, it’s difficult to beat anyone three times in one season, much less a division rival (circa, 2007/NYG)—anyone remember?
But, these Cowboys have shown some, excuse me, cajones and I say they follow-up their thumping of Philly last week with a 27-13 victory on Saturday.
This would mean their first playoff win since December, 1996 and end a stretch of post-season futility never imagined by Cowboys fans.
I can’t imagine the meltdown if Dallas doesn’t win on Saturday night.
They’re hot, they’ve swept the Eagles, they pounded Philly last week, and no I’m not buying into the Eagles not being ready—Dallas whipped their tails and they’ll win again on Saturday night.
Cowboys-Eagles Game-Day III
David Smoak
When the Cowboys won their last NFC East championship, they had to beat a division-rival three times to advance in the playoffs.
They didn’t, losing the third game to the NY Giants at Texas Stadium.
They’ll have to earn a three-sweep of the Eagles to advance this time around after thumping Philadelphia 24-0 on Sunday to earn their second NFC East title in three-years.
Cowboys and Eagles will meet in the Wild Card round next weekend in Arlington.
Cowboys 24 Eagles 0 .

So here we are with two of the best teams in the NFC playing for the NFC East Championship.
A year ago, the Cowboys were humiliated in Philadelphia, but that loss also cost them a playoff berth.
Both teams are in—now it’s about the seeding and possible home-field advantage.
Philadelphia has been as consistent as anyone this decade, and they always seem to overcome whatever adversity they face…this year, more injuries.
It’s hard to sweep someone within your division, but that’s been the case for every division rival this season.
Cowboys swept the Redskins, Eagles swept the Redskins and Giants, Giants swept the Redskins and Cowboys…so, with the Cowboys beating Philadelphia earlier this season, they’ll complete a rare season of divisional sweeps on Sunday.
My prediction: Cowboys 26, Eagles 17
Eagles vs. Cowboys “Game-Day”
David Smoak
Cowboys did exactly what was necessary, win—17-0 to sweep the season series against Washington for the first time since 2004.
They’re back in the playoffs after the disastrous ending in 2008.
The only way the Redskins had a chance was for Dallas to turn it over 4-5 times.
Washington can’t get to the off-season fast-enough.
Cowboys can’t get to their NFC East championship battle against Philly fast enough.

Okay, I backed away from the prediction business for the past 2-3 weeks due to my horrible record during the first 10-games.
I am predicting Dallas 34, New Orleans 30.
