Bill Harper retires at Nacogdoches
Bill Harper, who has been a head football coach in Marshall and most recently in Nacogdoches has announced his retirement.

Harper told Smoaky.com on Wednesday night, "I've retired before but came back and I'm glad I did, but this time I think it's official and I'm going back to fishing."

Harper went 26-25 in five years in Nacogdoches with one playoff appearance (2006) but the Dragons were 3-7 in 2009, "I felt like we had things going in the right direction in Nacogdoches, but it just didn't work out so it's time for me to move on and let someone else give it a shot."
